Laura Spicer, Executive Director, WHNP

Laura Spicer started as a Women's Healthcare Nurse Practitioner at Valley Health in 2006. She is originally from Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School. She attended the University of North Dakota and received her undergraduate degree in Nursing and completed her Master's degree through the University of Minnesota. Laura continues to practice as a Nurse Practitioner and serves as the agency's Executive Director. She currently resides in Grand Forks with her husband and four children.


Vanessa Cardona, WHNP

Vanessa Cardona is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner who began with Valley Health in 2018. She was employed by an OB/GYN office for over 5 years in Phoenix, Arizona where her aspiration for women’s health was formed. She pursued nursing and obtained her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2014. After practicing as a RN for a progressive care unit, Vanessa’s family was relocated on her husband’s military orders to Italy. She used her 3 years in Italy to complete her Masters of Science in Nursing, becoming a Board Certified Women’s Health NP, while exploring Europe as much as possible. Originally from Texas, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling near and far. Vanessa currently resides in Grand Forks with her loving husband and 2 children. 

Kimberly Williams, FNP

Kimberly Williams is a Family Nurse Practitioner who began with Valley Health in 2017. She graduated from the University of North Dakota with her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in 2011 and practiced as an RN in a variety of places to include the neonatal intensive care, pediatrics, and geriatric health. Following a mission's trip to South America, she found a passion for preventative health care for under-served populations and returned to UND for her Master's Degree in FNP which she completed in 2017. She currently resides in Grand Forks with her loving husband and two children.

Kerry Anderson, Administrative Manager, CMA 

Kerry Anderson started working at Valley Health in 1993 and has served several positions including her current position as Administrative Manager and Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Her main role is billing and insurance submission  along with clinical functions. She is originally from East Grand Forks. Kerry currently resides in Grand Forks. She has one son and three rescue animals.  

Judy Short, LPN 

Judy Short is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and has been with Valley Health since 2009. Before completing her nursing degree, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and a Surgical Assistant. She was born and raised in East Grand Forks and currently resides there with her family, including 3 children.


Hailey Dempsey, CNA/Office Assistant

Hailey started at Valley Health in 2018 as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Office Assistant. She has had her CNA since 2000. Hailey has 2 boys and currently resides in Grand Forks with her boyfriend and 2 children.
